For the Magali’s special preview, we "dressed" oak barrels and special areas in the cellar with Magali’s paintings : what a good idea to enjoy even more the intensity of the MAG’s style : Everybody had the same feeling : MAG likes to take risks, using colours and materials with total freedom, and the result is marvellous !!
The exposition finishes in October, by this time feel free to come and enjoy both art and wine in the tasting room !

It was a great pleasure to welcome our wine tourism partners the last 3rd May, to share a tasty evening with us :
We were lucky to have Eric Jaumard, truffles producer, and Gilles Peyrerol, our Chocolate maker, to make us discover their work.
A good accasion to taste the 2010 vintage in barrels, and enjoy the top quality of this year.

Waiting for 2010 to be bottled, we shared a beautiful cocktail dinner, especially made by the restaurant "Le Mogador", with our range of 2009 most beautiful crus.

The Lavau team wish you a very happy new year, with always the best wines to pair with your finest meals.

the cellar is very busy at this time, with the filling of the barrels. In the same time, the feet of the Valreas vineyards are still asleep, even after the hard time of pruning ! they will restart their physiological activity around the middle of February.

After a very cold spring and a very dry summer, we had very heterogeneous maturities, according to the location of vineyards. We had to be very carreful with the choice of picking dates. Finaly, we obtain unexpected colours and concentrations, 2010 is going to be a beautiful vintage ! The high acidity rates and the powerfull tannins of 2010 give a very good potential of aging in bottles. But for now, the greatest reds, just put in barrels, have to wait at least 12 months before saying their last word... Wait and see...

Luna, Nora and Rose Lavau have picked the first grapes from our new vineyards in Valreas, for the 2010 first "house cuvée". From this old Grenache and Syrah vine stocks, only a few grapes were picked, giving very low yield for the best quality. Balanced and concentrated, the very first wine of the domain is currently in barrels, for an indefinate time, according to its exceptionnal potential.

Professionals and the public have discovered our new cellar with it’s new vintage. They also tasted our new Lavau wine range, and the 14 domains we selected from the southern part of the Rhône Valley.
