Formerly from St Emilion, the Lavau Family has been involved in winemaking for several generations, from Bordeaux to the hills of Tunisia. In 1964, seduced by the richness and quality of the Provencal soil, they decided to settle in the Rhône Valley. 40 years later, the cellar is currently managed by Benoit and Frederic Lavau. The family own 3 cellars in the south of the Rhône Valley, where they are in partnership with 300 grape growers.

With their 3 cellars, the Lavau winery is vinifying most of the appellations of the southern Rhône valley, from Côtes du Ventoux to the Côtes du Rhône, and all the famous cru’s such as Tavel, Vacqueyras, Gigondas and Chateauneuf du Pape. The partnership established with the growers allows us to choose the best terroir and the best grapes in order to create the best blend.

Terroir and grapes are vinified to obtain quintessential aromas and perfect balance in our wines, a subtle marriage of tradition and modernity.
